About Me

My photo
Leona Pineda
New York, United States
New to NYC, I did not waste any time indulging in something I am very passionate about–FOOD. Anyone who knows me knows that one of the things I love the most is to discover delicious new dishes and treats, and to take my time savouring each bite. And as I endeavor to get to know my new home better, I have decided to go on a little adventure looking for the best local bake shops in Manhattan. WHY GO LOCAL? Because these places will give me the best insight to the local food culture – one of the best ways to get to know any new culture better. AND WHY BAKE SHOPS? Because among all kinds of food, my definite weakness are those heavenly melt-in-your mouth breads, cakes and pastries! Let me say, I would miss a meal any time for these wonderful baked goodies! As I write about my little adventure, do expect to read about how I found these delightful places, my experiences, my recommendations and finally, a rating on what I believe are essential to know about any food establishment - ambience, service, packaging, price, variety and taste. Expect nothing but an honest opinion from a fellow food lover who is excited about sharing her discoveries with you.
